Goa, June 24 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed deep grief over the passing of former India cricketer and left-arm spinner Dilip Doshi, who died at the age of 77 in London due to heart issues. Doshi, renowned for his classical left-arm spin, made his Test debut for India at 32 and played 33 Tests between 1979 and 1983, taking 114 wickets with six five-wicket hauls. He also claimed 22 wickets in 15 ODIs and excelled in first-class cricket with 898 wickets in 238 matches. Doshi represented Saurashtra, Bengal, Warwickshire, and Nottinghamshire, and was notably influenced by Garfield Sobers during his county stint.
