Goa, May 24 -- On Thursday night, a large acacia tree fell and blocked the Sanguem-Netravali road at Pajimol-Sanguem, prompting local residents, police, and electricity department staff to take immediate action. With the Curchorem fire tenders already engaged in other emergencies, local councillor Meshu D'Costa quickly mobilized a team comprising villagers, police officers, and power department personnel to address the situation. Working tirelessly from 10 pm until around 1 am, the group successfully cleared the tree and reopened this vital road, which is frequently used by ambulances and emergency vehicles.
