Goa, Jan. 20 -- A slab portion collapsed at the CDPO office in Pernem, leaving a clerk injured and raising serious concerns over the condition of government buildings. Following the incident, former Mandrem Sarpanch Bala Naik visited the site and demanded immediate repair work. He warned that if repairs are not completed within eight days, local residents would be forced to stage a protest. Naik said the collapse exposed negligence in maintenance and posed a risk to staff and visitors. He stressed that the safety of employees must be prioritised and urged authorities to take swift action to prevent further accidents. Officials have not yet announced a timeline for repairs.
