Goa, Nov. 28 -- The Electricity Department has issued a notice urging consumers to ensure that their elec tricity meters are easily accessible to meter read ers, in accordance with Regulation 5.125 of the Joint Electricity Regula tory Commission (JERC) Supply Code, 2018. The notice specifies that meters located inside premises and not easily accessible must be shift ed to a more accessible location by November 28, 2025. The move is aimed at ensuring regular and ac curate monthly billing based on actual readings, as well as facilitating rou tine maintenance without causing inconvenience to consumers.
