Goa, Nov. 12 -- Tension prevailed briefly at Rumdamol Housing Board after a banner put up for Eid Milad celebrations was found partially torn by unidentified persons.
The "Sunni Al Madina" banner, which had been installed across a road for the religious celebration, was discovered damaged on Wednesday morning, sparking concern among local residents.
Community members have urged authorities to investigate the incident and ensure that such acts do not disturb communal harmony in the area.
Police are expected to review CCTV footage and trace those responsible for damaging the banner.
Locals have appealed for peace and restraint, emphasizing that the festival should continue to be observed in a spirit of unity and respect.
