Goa, June 19 -- The much-awaited Dudhsagar trekking season officially began today with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar flagging off an eco-tourism initiative aimed at promoting sustainable travel and adventure tourism in the region.

The event marks the opening of the monsoon trek to the iconic Dudhsagar Falls, one of Goa's most popular natural attractions. Addressing participants, Dr. Gaonkar emphasized the importance of preserving Goa's biodiversity while encouraging responsible tourism.

"This eco-tourism drive is not just about adventure-it's about respecting nature, protecting wildlife, and supporting the local economy," he said.
