Goa, May 18 -- In a swift and coordinated crackdown on drug trafficking, the North District Police and Crime Branch (CB) conducted three separate raids within a 24-hour period, resulting in the arrest of five individuals from Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. The operations led to the seizure of narcotics worth over Rs.16 lakh.
The largest bust took place near the Goa State Central Library in Panaji, where three men from Udupi, Karnataka-Sajeer (33), Moidin Ashmin (22), and Mohammad Suhel (21), were apprehended based on specific intelligence inputs. During the raid, officers seized 91.934 grams of MDMA, a car, and seven mobile phones. The total value of this seizure was estimated at Rs.12 lakh.
