VASCO, June 27 -- After a moderate rainfall for few hours, Cortalim village including areas such as Vollant and Santrant were flooded with rainwater due to the chocked drains near old fish market.
MLA Alina Saldhana, PWD officials and DBL officials visited the site and later cleaning of chocked drains was carried out.
Locals from Cortalim village, especially from Santrant and Vollant were badly affected by the rain which has just taken its pace from past few days.
On Wednesday morning, old fish market along with the residential houses from low lying areas of Cortalim was flooded so much so that rainwater entered in their houses.
