Goa, Nov. 1 -- Benaulim-based social worker Dixon Vaz has indicated his intent to contest the 2027 Goa Assembly Elections from the Benaulim constituency. Vaz, known for his involvement in community development, voiced concerns about Colva's rapid transformation, claiming it is slowly turning into another Calangute due to unchecked commercialisation. Speaking to reporters, he said several residents have expressed disappointment with the current development model, which they believe is eroding Colva's natural charm and local culture.
