India, Feb. 16 -- The Disability Rights Association of Goa has objected to the recent recruitment advertisement issued by the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) for 722 government posts, alleging that no vacancies have been reserved for persons with disabilities (PwDs), in violation of statutory provisions.

In a representation submitted to the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, the association stated that the omission contravenes the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which mandates a four per cent reservation for PwDs in government employment.
