Goa, Oct. 3 -- The Dhangar community celebrated Dussehra, locally known as Dossro, with devotion and cultural pride at Khargali Wado, Cansa Tivim. The festival, deeply rooted in the traditions of the tribal Dhangars, reflects their enduring bond with nature and commitment to preserving age-old customs.

Traditionally forest dwellers, the Dhangars have long revered the mountains and forests as their natural home. Although many migrated to villages due to forest regulations, they continue to uphold their cultural identity by returning to the forests each year to celebrate Dossro.
