Goa, March 11 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that there are many who wish to see the removal of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's grave from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, previously known as Aurangabad. However, he emphasized that the grave is a protected site under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and any removal must adhere to legal procedures.
Fadnavis made these comments on Saturday in response to BJP's Satara MP Udayanraje Bhosale, who is a descendant of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and has called for the tomb's removal from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
