Goa, May 5 -- The Devasthan Committee has issued a memorandum urging authorities to restrict access to Shirgao on May 6, coinciding with the final day of the Kaulotsav Utsav. Chairman Dinanath Gaonkar confirmed that the temple committee, during a recent meeting, expressed concerns about the safety of devotees as the deity will be making its way to the temple on this day.
In light of these safety considerations, the committee has appealed to devotees to cooperate with both the administration and the temple authorities by refraining from visiting Shirgao for darshan on Tuesday. The committee's primary concern is ensuring the safety of all involved during the festival's final procession.
