Goa, Dec. 31 -- Heavy fog blanketing Delhi on Tuesday severely impacted operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), triggering widespread cancellations, diversions and delays across airlines.
Airport officials confirmed that at least 118 flights were cancelled, including 60 arrivals and 58 departures. In addition, 16 flights were diverted to alternate airports, while roughly 130 services experienced significant delays. IGIA, managed by Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), handles nearly 1,300 flights every day, making Tuesday's disruption one of the most severe weather-related setbacks this season.
