Goa, Dec. 29 -- A thick blanket of fog enveloped Delhi-NCR and several parts of northern India on Monday, severely disrupting air traffic at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. At least 128 flights were cancelled-64 arrivals and 64 departures-while nearly 200 flights were delayed due to poor visibility, which dropped to as low as 50 metres. Eight flights were also diverted, airport officials said.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation warned passengers of continued disruptions at select northern airports and advised them to stay updated through airline communication channels. Airlines including IndiGo and Air India issued advisories, urging travellers to check flight status before heading to airports.
