MANDREM, Feb. 22 -- A Goan woman Marie Feliz Fernandes from Junaswada Mandrem in Pernem Taluka was deliberately run over by a Delhi tourist with his car on Friday.

The woman who was selling tender coconuts by the roadside was dragged under the car for 10 metres, due to which she died on the spot. Earlier the woman had several arguments over last few days with the Delhi tourist who was staying nearby not to bring his dogs to the areas. The reason was the woman Marie Feliz Fernandes too had dogs and the dogs would fight. On Friday there was a major verbal duel between Maria and the Delhi Tourist, accused.
