Goa, Dec. 16 -- In response to worsening air quality in the national capital, the Delhi government on Monday announced that students from nursery to Class 5 will compulsorily attend classes in virtual mode until further notice.

The decision marks a shift from the earlier policy, under which parents were given the option to choose between physical and online classes for their children. With air pollution levels continuing to remain high, authorities have now withdrawn that choice to safeguard the health of young students.

Issuing a circular, the Directorate of Education stated that all physical classes for nursery to Class 5 students have been suspended across government, government-aided and unaided private recognised schools in Delhi. ...
