Goa, Dec. 24 -- The Delhi High Court on Tuesday suspended the jail sentence of expelled BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is serving life imprisonment in the Unnao rape case, and granted him bail subject to stringent conditions.

A bench comprising Justice Subramonium Prasad and Justice Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar ordered Sengar's release on bail after directing him to furnish a personal bond of Rs.15 lakh along with three sureties of the same amount.

While granting relief, the High Court imposed strict restrictions on Sengar's movement and conduct. The court directed that he must not enter a five-kilometre radius of the victim's residence and must not threaten or attempt to influence the victim or her mother in any manner.
