CANACONA, March 23 -- A highly decomposed body of a man believed to be in his fifties was pulled out by police personnel from the sea waters of Cola beach in northern Canacona on Friday evening.
Police officials said that they were informed by a shack owner about the presence of a body floating near the shore of Cola beach on Friday.
The police crew later pulled out the body which was in a highly decomposed state.
After conducting panchanama, the body was taken to Hospicio hospital for preservation and post mortem.
Police said that the body had a white greyish shirt which has a 'Vinay Gadag' label on it while the lower dress was missing from the body.
There is no complaint of missing person registered at Canacona police station.
