PANJIM, Jan. 21 -- Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said the State Cabinet deferred taking a decision on the implementation of new Motor Vehicle (MV) Rules in Goa stating that a decision on will be taken only after holding detailed discussion and deliberation with stakeholders.

"Decision on new MV Act will only be taken after holding detailed discussion and deliberation with stakeholders," Sawant said.

He said before implementing the huge fines, the government will look to improve the infrastructure. "More than the fines, we need to create awareness on the road safety and it has to come as a curriculum in school," he said.
