Goa, May 23 -- Heavy rains have triggered a fresh wave of environmental concerns along the Cavelossim-Mobor beach belt, as dead fish and water plants from the Sal River have washed ashore, raising fears of pollution and foul odors due to decomposition.
Local Sarpanch Dixon Vaz has appealed to the government for immediate intervention to clean the shoreline and prevent further deterioration of the beach environment. "The situation is worsening year after year. If left unchecked, the stench and ecological impact will only increase," Vaz stated.
