Goa, Sept. 6 -- BJP Goa President Damodar (Damu) Naik on Saturday said the party aims to secure 51 per cent of the votes in the 2027 Goa Legislative Assembly elections to retain power.

Speaking at a function celebrating his birthday, Naik highlighted that the BJP had already achieved a 51 per cent vote share in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. He added that replicating this performance in 2027 is possible if party members work together.

Naik said his goal is to form the government in 2027 and dedicate it as a gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed confidence that considering the public mood in Goa, retaining power would not be difficult.

The next Goa Assembly elections are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
