Goa, Nov. 28 -- Accused Zenito Cardozo's bail application has been reserved for order on 4 December by the Merces Special Court. Cardozo was arrested by the Goa Police in connection with the alleged assault on Goan activist Rama Kankonkar. Following the hearing, the court stated that the decision would be delivered next week. Cardozo, who has denied the allegations, remains in judicial custody as both sides presented their arguments before the court. Supporters and local residents were present outside the court premises as the matter continues to draw public attention. The final order will determine whether Cardozo secures temporary relief through bail.
