PANJIM, April 26 -- Congress has decided to approach the Election Commission of India over the 'casual attitude' of the polling staff handling the electronic voting machines after the voting process ended on April 23.

Herald had reported that EVMs from many booths in the North and South Lok Sabha constituencies had not reached the designated strong rooms even 20 hours after polling was over.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president and North Goa candidate Girish Chodankar said that there was no power supply in Mapusa for two hours when the EVMs were brought to the taluka headquarters collection centre.
