Goa, Aug. 27 -- An alleged illegal staircase construction in Shirvodem, Margao, has come under scrutiny after complaints from concerned residents.

A team composed of Margao Municipal Councillor Mahesh Amonkar, a municipal engineer, and members of a local housing society conducted an on-site inspection of the disputed structure.

Residents had raised concerns over the legality and safety of the staircase, pointing to potential hazards for both the building's occupants and the surrounding community.
