Goa, April 1 -- Less than 1.5 years after its inauguration on December 23, 2023, the new Zuari Bridge has raised serious safety concerns, as pieces of concrete have started to fall off from its expansion joints. The incidents, which have occurred near the Agacaim Police Station, have left locals worried about the potential danger to pedestrians and vehicles passing under the bridge.

Residents of the area have expressed their alarm, pointing out that falling concrete could pose a deadly risk. "This is a serious matter of concern. If these pieces fall on someone, it could be fatal. Who will be held responsible if a tragedy occurs?" questioned a concerned local.
