Goa, Dec. 15 -- Community farming in Goa will now be placed under the Zilla Panchayats, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced on Monday. He said the initiative aims to bring barren agricultural land back into active cultivation through structured planning at the local level. Alongside this, the state will introduce the Community Dairy concept, under which small-scale dairies will be set up in villages falling under the Zilla Panchayats. The move is expected to strengthen rural livelihoods and contribute towards ushering in a White Revolution in the state.
