Goa, June 18 -- Chief Minister has issued a stern warning to industries engaged in labour exploitation, stating that such practices will attract strict punitive action from the government. He emphasized that while ample job opportunities exist across sectors, many locals are reluctant to join due to lack of job security and fair working conditions.

"People are not coming forward to take up jobs because they don't feel secure. Industries must introspect and stop exploitative practices," the CM stated.

In a bid to improve employment prospects for Goans, the CM urged industries to engage local contractors, stressing that a Goan contractor is more likely to employ Goan workers and ensure better understanding of local needs and conditions. ...
