Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday criticised those opposing development projects in Mayem village and said that this mindset was harmful for the next generation.

Speaking after laying foundation stones for key development projects in Mayem constituency, Sawant condemned the decision of some of the Mayem villagers opposing non-polluting projects like the proposed international law college.

He said, "Few people who are adamant in not bringing development into the village should stop it as it would cause harm to the next generation. The proposed international law college at Mayem will change dynamics and overall development of the village."
