Goa, June 5 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has blamed the Cricket Association for the stampede that occurred outside Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB's IPL victory celebration. Hitting back at BJP's criticism, he referred to similar tragedies such as the Mahakumbh stampede, stating that such incidents should not be politicized. The CM termed the Bengaluru stampede as an "unforeseen accident."

Speaking at a press conference, Siddaramaiah said, "The government and the Cricket Association jointly organized the victory parade. No one expected such an incident. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000, but a crowd of 3-4 lakh gathered outside."
