Goa, July 12 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired the 206th meeting of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) Board, during which several major infrastructure projects were given the green light, totaling over Rs.140 crore.
Among the key approvals was a Rs.113 crore boys' hostel project at Goa Medical College (GMC), which aims to significantly improve accommodation facilities for students. The board also sanctioned Rs.21 crore for the demolition and reconstruction of the ageing St Estevam Bridge.
Additional projects include the redevelopment of old government buildings and the Margao bus stand, the upgradation of the Sankhali Municipal Market, and Rs.3 crore worth of works at Ravindra Bhavan in Sankhali.
