India, Feb. 2 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant revealed that he could have become an MLA in 2008 if calculations regarding his resignation as an Ayurvedic physician had been done correctly. His resignation had been accepted by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, but a miscalculation prevented him from contesting the elections. Sawant noted that if the process had been done properly, he would have entered the Assembly in 2008. He added that while the calculation went wrong, it was a different matter, emphasizing that otherwise, he would indeed have been an MLA that year.
