PANJIM, Jan. 29 -- South Goa SP Sunita Sawant was suddenly transferred on Tuesday through a wireless message. She was replaced with Tikam Singh Verma. Sawant had just received an award on Republic Day for her distinguished services. Media reports stated that she was allegedly transferred at the instance of the Bajrang Dal, after she sent instructions to all South Goa police stations to get information on Bajrang Dal activities. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant however refused to answer the question on Wednesday.
