Goa, Nov. 14 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday flagged off a fleet of eight vehicles procured through the District Mineral Fund (DMF) at the South Goa Collectorate. The vehicles will be handed over to the Police Department and the Disaster Management Cell to strengthen services in mining-affected areas.

The newly allotted fleet includes four 4x4 Mahindra Scorpios, two hearse vans, and two mini pickups, all aimed at improving emergency response, mobility, and public service delivery in regions impacted by mining activities.

During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed three assistive vehicles to persons with disabilities, underscoring the government's commitment to inclusive support and welfare initiatives.
