Goa, June 8 -- A major controversy has erupted in Goa after Health Minister Vishwajit Rane suspended Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar, a senior doctor and Chief Medical Officer at Goa Medical College (GMC). The suspension followed a surprise visit by Rane to the GMC casualty ward, reportedly prompted by a complaint from a senior journalist who alleged that his mother-in-law was denied a B12 injection and mistreated by Dr. Kuttikar. During the visit, Rane, accompanied by media, publicly reprimanded the doctor and ordered his immediate suspension, accusing him of "arrogant behaviour" towards a patient.
