Goa, May 21 -- The wait is finally over as, after nearly two months of disrupted water supply due to E. coli contamination, most areas in Taleigao have begun receiving clean water again, bringing much-needed relief to residents. The Public Works Department (PWD) undertook a major pipeline replacement project, affecting around 500 households in localities such as Vodlem Bhat, Borbhat, Shankarwadi, Durbhat, DurgaQDwadi, Cardoz Wada, and Porshebhat.

PWD Executive Engineer Sarita Shirodkar confirmed that the water supply has been restored in over 90 percent of the affected areas. However, Palm Grove Estate in Cardoz Wada and parts of Porshebhat are still awaiting final pipeline connections, with progress delayed partly due to ongoing rainfal...
