Goa, Nov. 1 -- Former Chief Minister and Churchill Brothers FC owner Churchill Alemao has strongly criticised the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for presenting a duplicate I-League trophy to Inter Kashi, calling the move "disrespectful" to his club and its supporters.
Addressing the media, Alemao said the original I-League trophy remains with Churchill Brothers, and the AIFF's decision to distribute a replica undermines the club's legacy and contributions to Indian football.
"This is an insult to our fans and supporters who have stood by Churchill Brothers through the years," Alemao said, adding that the matter is still under legal consideration.
