PANJIM, Jan. 30 -- In connection with the recent incident of two children found abandoned in a single day, the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR) has asked the Director General of Police (DGP) to conduct a strict and urgent investigation into abandonment of children.

The Commission also asked the State police to submit a comprehensive report on abandonment of Children from 2014 onwards, including updates on past cases, recurring patterns and the rehabilitation of such children. The DGP was asked to send an action taken report within a month.
