Goa, Oct. 9 -- Chief Justice of India BR Gavai on Thursday spoke about the attempted shoe attack on him in the Supreme Court, calling it a "forgotten chapter." The incident occurred on Monday when an elderly advocate, Rakesh Kishore, hurled a shoe towards the bench shouting against alleged disrespect to Sanatan Dharma. The shoe fell short of the bench, and security quickly restrained the man. Chief Justice Gavai remained composed, continuing proceedings without disruption. The Bar Council of India suspended Kishore and issued a show-cause notice. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack, praising the CJI's commitment to justice.
