Goa, April 1 -- The Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) has expressed support for the amendments to the Central Waqf Act, highlighting concerns that certain provisions of the law are inconsistent with the Constitution and the secular democratic principles of the country. The CBCI also urged political parties to adopt a fair and constructive approach to the issue, particularly as the government aims to introduce the Waqf Bill in Parliament during the ongoing Budget Session.
