Goa, Nov. 3 -- Hundreds of residents and activists gathered in Navelim on Sunday evening for a candlelight rally demanding justice for alleged custodial assault victim Edberg Pereira. The peaceful demonstration saw strong condemnation of police brutality and calls for accountability from the authorities.

During the rally, participants passed several resolutions, including a demand for an impartial investigation into the alleged assault, the suspension of police officials involved, and the inclusion of attempted murder charges in the case.
