Goa, Dec. 9 -- Locals in Canacona have raised strong health concerns after molasses from an abandoned brewery were reportedly dumped into a freshly dug pit near an IDC tank. Residents fear the seepage could contaminate groundwater, wells, and nearby vegetation. A previous inspection was conducted by local authorities along with Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar, but villagers say the issue persists. They are now demanding a thorough investigation and immediate action to ensure the molasses are removed safely and disposed of properly to prevent any environmental or health impact.
