Goa, Nov. 13 -- Local residents of Canacona have urged the Public Works Department (PWD) to take immediate action as pothole-ridden roads continue to pose a grave threat to motorists. Councillor Shubham Komarpant alleged that a 50-year-old man recently lost his life due to a "killer pothole," leaving behind a bedridden mother who depended on him. He highlighted that roads leading to Palolem and Agonda are in equally poor condition, demanding urgent repairs. Residents have also sought an inquiry against PWD officials for negligence and endangering the safety of locals and tourists in the area.
