Calangute Veterans downed Maina Veterans 2-0 to move into the semi-finals of first All-Goa 8-a-side veterans football tournament organised by former footballers of Verna at Verna panchayat ground, on Sunday. Calangute Veterans started the match on an attacking note and scored the first goal from a long throw in by star striker Bruno Coutinho which was headed in by Allwyn Fernandes. Soon they doubled their lead with a stunning strike by Duarte Fernandes giving no chance to the Maina Veterans goalkeeper. At half time, Calangute Veterans were leading 2-0.
