Calangute Veterans thrashed Cavelossim 5-1 in the final to emerge champions in the 23rd All-Goa veterans football tournament played at Per Seraulim ground, recently. The match, staged under the banner of the Flame of Unity Sports Club, exploded into life as Calangute struck twice inside the opening five minutes. At the heart of it all was Bibiano Fernandes, the mastermind coach of India's U-17, who rolled back the years with a superb brace and two assists. By halftime, the score read 5-0, with Dumain, Robert and Allwyn adding their names to scorer's list.
