Goa, Nov. 16 -- A habitual PIL filer has been booked by Calangute Police for criminal intimidation under Section 351 of the BNS. According to Calangute Village Panchayat member Swapnesh Vaigankar, the accused repeatedly threatened people from Ward 9, claiming he would file frivolous complaints and PILs to extort money. The non-cognisable complaint is based on an audio clip that went viral, in which the accused can be heard using offensive language against the complainant. Vaigankar added that although the threats were not directed at the complainant alone, the accused often targeted his family and associates.
