Goa, Nov. 6 -- Following a recent controversy in Calangute, where a shop's LED display allegedly flashed the slogan "Pakistan Zindabad", the Calangute Panchayat has announced a complete ban on LED boards across the area. Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira said that new licence applicants will now be required to provide a written undertaking declaring they will not install LED boards. Any violation of this rule will lead to immediate confiscation by the panchayat.
