Goa, Jan. 9 -- The US Embassy in India has issued a strong advisory to international students, cautioning that violating American laws can have serious consequences, including the revocation of a student visa and possible deportation.

In a statement shared on social media platform X on Wednesday, the embassy reiterated that staying in the United States on a visa is a privilege rather than a right. It warned that students who are arrested or found violating US laws risk having their visas cancelled and may also be barred from obtaining future US visas.
