Goa, May 22 -- In a rain-related incident, a breadfruit tree from a neighbouring property collapsed onto the house of Narayan Deykar in Wade, Junawada, causing significant damage estimated to be worth several thousand rupees.

The tree fell during a spell of heavy rainfall, which has been affecting several parts of Goa in recent days. The impact damaged portions of the house, though no injuries have been reported.

Local residents rushed to assist the affected family and help clear the debris. The incident highlights the risk posed by aging or overgrown trees during the monsoon season.

Authorities have been urged to inspect vulnerable trees in residential areas and take preventive action to avoid similar incidents.
