India, Feb. 22 -- In a tragic road accident, Manoj Desai (37), a resident of Borim, died following a collision between his Activa scooter and a Ponda-Savordem route bus near Borim Bridge on Friday at around 4:30 pm. According to police, the bus allegedly tried to overtake another vehicle when it crashed into the oncoming scooter. Desai suffered grievous injuries in the impact and was immediately rushed to Goa Medical College for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal mishap to determine further action.
